Who We Are
Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue organization based in Dallas, TX and New York City. We're a close network of fosters and volunteers who collaborate to rescue shelter dogs and find them loving, forever homes. As a foster-based rescue, we focus on providing all of our dogs with secure and caring environments while they wait for their forever families. Hearts & Bones is dedicated to building a coalition of individuals and organizations across the country to save dogs in the areas where shelters are under the greatest stress, and transport our pups to forever families ready to give them the lives they deserve.
What We Do Differently
Our available dogs are placed into loving homes while they wait for their forever families.
Our alumni team continues to work with adopters and their pups even post-adoption and is always available to help.
Our rescue dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption, which includes age-appropriate spay/neuter and vaccinations.
Upon application approval, your approval is valid for any of our available dogs. Even if you do not find the right dog immediately, we'll work with you to find the right match.
Where We Are

DFW

NYC
Our rescue operations are based in Dallas, Texas where the number of stray and unwanted dogs is incredibly high - shelters there will often take in over 100 animals in a single day, and Texas has one of the highest euthanasia rates in the country. We then transport our dogs to our adoptions base in New York City, where there are an incredible number of people looking to adopt and our pups have a much better chance of finding a forever home. We're always looking for more fosters in both areas, and consider adoption applications from anywhere within a few hours drive of NYC.
